I have been photographing interesting places in Wisconsin since 2005 and have built up quite a gallery. I am now proud to present some of these to you to purchase, narrow black frame, print 8" x 10", total frame size with mat about 13 x 11". I have selected some of my favorites for you to consider for your collection. These are all originals, taken by me and my Pentax. Shipping is free.

The town of Elkhart Lake, Sheboygan County, boasts that it is “a legendary getaway.” The town has many buzzing places, with lots of activities always underway somewhere nearby. It is in the Kettle Moraine State Forest.

The old Ashland ore dock. It's now torn down. But in its day, the trains filled with ore used the bridge, and then dumped their ore into an awaiting lake ship.

Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Pierhead Lighthouse
Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Pierhead Lighthouse
This lighthouse was constructed in 1881 at the Lake Michigan side of the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal built earlier to connect the bay with the lake. Very heavy layers of fog frequently cover the entrance to the canal, and the lighthouse underwent several technology upgrades over time. It was declared excess to needs in 2010 and was auctioned off in 2014. It is on the property of Coast Guard Station Sturgeon Bay.

Amnicom River State Park
Amnicom River State Park
Amnicon Falls State Park, about seven miles east of Superior flows here in an area where the state’s geography is switching from the Northern Highlands Geographic Province to the Lake Superior Coastal Plains Geographic Province. The Douglas Fault is in this area as well. The landscape dives toward Lake Superior and the Amnicon River dives with it.

Mississippi RIver Bridge
The Mississippi Bridge crossing the river from La Crosse. There are two bridges at this crossing. The older steel truss bridge is known as the Cass Street Structure. The new steel arch bridge was added in 2005. It is known as the Cameron Avenue Structure. Together, they are called The Mississippi River Bridge.

Gateway to Wausau
A rail line crosses Slough Bridge Road and over Big Bull Falls Park and the water inlet for white water rafting in downtown Wausau, behind the library. This photo was selected for gallery display at the city's Center for Visual Arts.

Gills Rock
Gills Rock
Gills Rock is at the northern tip of the Door Peninsula in Door County, arguably one of the most picturesque of the small towns in this county. This area is also very popular with scuba divers who explore the many shipwrecks in and around Death's Door.

Cannon Valley Percherons
While driving along CH X near Cashton in southwest Monroe County, we were in a fairly narrow valley, a majestic place. I spotted this guy with two horses ploughing a long and narrow field running. His name is Jim Olson. He was working with two horses known as Percherons, Lady and Sondra, nicknamed "Sandy."

Exploring the eastern side of the Bayfield Peninsula would bring us close to multiple bays. After dealing with Blueberry and Raspberry Roads, we came upon Eagle Bay Road. There is a neat little path that led us down to this breathtaking beach area.

Fort Crawford Blockhouse
Fort Crawford Blockhouse
This is a blockhouse still standing from the first Fort Crawford on St. Feriole Island in Prairie du Chien. It has a spectacular firing view upstream and downstream the Mississippi River. This was originally set up during the War of 1812 with Britain. The British captured it in 1814 and occupied Prairie du Chien until 1815.

Rising Star Mill
Rising Star Mill
The Rising Star Mill. It is one of the oldest in central Wisconsin and the last of its kind in Portage County. Built around 1860, it operated as a business until 1984. It sits right adjacent to the Tomorrow River, and offers a kayak put in point.

Ship Rock
Ship Rock
On Hwy 21 in Adams County, Wisconsin, not far from Coloma, stands something known as “Ship Rock,” which the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has dubbed “an isolated pinnacle of Cambrian sandstone.” The professionals there also call it “one of the easternmost of the castellated mounds of central Wisconsin.” She’s a lonely ship on the plain to me.

St Anns RC Church001
Saint Ann's Catholic Church and Cemetery is a historic rural church in the town of Greenwood in Taylor County. Construction began in 1884 and the first mass was offered in 1888. The cemetery contains graves dating to 1887.

John Purves
John Purves
The John Purves was built in 1919. She's an ocean-going tug and has sailed the Great Lakes, Caribbean and Bering Sea. She rescued foundered ships and served in WWII. In the 1950s, she took on towing and salvage jobs. She has since been donated to the Marine Museum in Sturgeon Bay.

Portage Canal
Portage Canal
The Portage Canal was built to connect the Fox River and Wisconsin River at Portage along the Fox-Wisconsin Waterway. For a time, it completed a route from the north Atlantic Ocean, through the St. Lawrence Seaway and down the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico, and back to the Atlantic.
